Security – Skoll Wallet

Your security is our priority. Skoll Wallet is designed with non-custodial architecture, meaning you have complete control over your assets. We never store or have access to your private keys.

Non-custodial architecture

Skoll Wallet operates under a non-custodial model, ensuring that:

  • Your private keys are generated and stored exclusively on your device.
  • We never have access to your private keys, funds or transaction information.
  • You are solely responsible and have complete control over your digital assets.

Private key protection

We implement multiple layers of security to protect your keys:

  • Enterprise-grade encryption for all keys stored locally.
  • Keys never leave your device, using the operating system's secure storage.
  • We never transmit private keys over the internet or to external servers.

Security best practices

To keep your assets secure, we recommend following these practices:

  • Protect your seed phrase

Store your seed phrase in a safe, physical location. Never share it with anyone or store it digitally. Without it, we cannot help you recover your wallet.

  • Verify addresses

Always verify destination addresses before sending cryptocurrencies. An error can result in permanent loss of funds.

  • Keep the app updated

Updates include important security patches. Make sure you always have the latest version of Skoll Wallet installed.

  • Make backups

In addition to your seed phrase, consider making additional backups in secure, separate locations.

Phishing protection

Phishing attacks are common in the crypto ecosystem. Stay alert:

Important:

  • Skoll Wallet will never ask you for your seed phrase or private keys. Any such request is a scam attempt.
  • Always verify that you are using the official Skoll Wallet application from official stores.
  • If you receive suspicious messages or links that appear to be from Skoll Wallet, report them immediately.

Transparency and audits

We believe in transparency as the foundation of trust:

  • Our code and security practices are subject to regular audits by independent experts.
  • We encourage community review and feedback on our security measures.
  • We publish security updates and improvements transparently.

Your responsibility

Although we implement best security practices, it is important that you understand:

  • You are responsible for protecting and keeping your seed phrase secure. Without it, there is no way to recover your wallet.
  • Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be reversed. Always verify details before confirming.
  • Keep your device secure with strong passwords, system updates and antivirus software when possible.
